Managing Director

Travis has two decades of experience in complex insurance and risk mitigation solutions. He spent the first 15 years of his career at HUB International, which is one of the largest insurance brokers in the world. Travis started his commercial insurance career focused on technology companies and publicly listed companies.

In 2003, he began specialising in mining and resources, building one of the largest resources client bases throughout North America in record time. Travis led a team that insured over 250 mining companies, whilst also managing a portfolio of clients with complex insurance issues across the Legal, Accounting, Financial Institutions and Property/Development sectors.


Executive Broking Manager

Nick has nearly a decade of experience in the Australian General Insurance market. At the start of his career, Nick excelled as part of a successful Mining, Transport and Earthmoving team for an international insurance broker. He soon migrated to a role with exposure to various lines of General Insurance, including Professional Indemnity, Property-Casualty and General Business risks.

This eventually lead Nick into a role where he assisted in establishing the reputation of a relatively new WA branch of a Global Insurance Brokerage. In this role, Nick grew his expertise in Property/Casualty and General Business risks for SME & multi-national companies.

As part of KBI, Nick has played an integral part in establishing the Complex Risk and Financial Lines divisions, while also assisting in the general growth, capability and broking operations.


Account Executive

With a background in engineering for the Aeronautical and Resource Industries, Phil was led to the Insurance industry after he moved to Australia from the UK. He began his insurance career with a large Australian based company, where he managed an established portfolio of commercial clientele. His role left him responsible for the growth of his company’s presence in WA and the Perth Metro region. In his time there, Phil focused on the management and development of a mixed profile of business, including Commercial Property and Strata.

Because of his strengths in relationship building and business development as well as his extensive knowledge of WA’s property space, Phil was brought on to KBI in a key role as part of the Commercial Property and Strata team.


Account Manager

After completing university with a focus in Business Management, Insurance, and Risk Management, Tyler began his career with a large Canadian Insurance company. Here he developed a robust understanding of various areas of General Insurance and the North American business community. During this time, Tyler continued his studies by becoming a Chartered Insurance Professional of Canada’s Insurance Institute.

Soon after arriving in Perth, Tyler began to make his mark in WA’s insurance sector by joining KBI with a role in Account Management and Marketing. Here Tyler has focused on the development and maintenance of KBI’s general business, the growth of speciality programs and schemes, as well as growing KBI’s brand in WA through marketing and development.


Account Manager

Daniel has nearly 12 years’ experience in various areas of the Australian Insurance market. He began his career at a large National Insurance Company as a Technical Advisor, where he quickly excelled. Daniel then worked his way up in the Insurance Industry as a broker for various companies. This experience has included work with large Construction Risks, Commercial Accounts, Commercial Property, and Strata.

Daniel’s combination of experience and a wide base of knowledge of the insurance industry has lead him to KBI’s Commercial Property and Strata team. Here he is part of a growing team that are quickly making a name for themselves in Perth’s business network.


Account Manager

Tyson brings a diverse skillset to KBI that has been developed over 4 years in the Canadian Insurance market. Working as an Underwriter he co-managed one of the largest Strata portfolios in the country. During his time as an Underwriter, Tyson developed strong relationships with an exclusive broker partner, and leveraged those relationships to achieve year over year growth. Combined with a degree in Business Management and Accounting from an innovative Canadian University, he brings a unique perspective and skill set to the KBI team.

Tyson’s experience in portfolio management and growth have allowed him to find success in Perth’s competitive business environment, and he brings his strata underwriting experience to the growing KBI Strata Division.


Office Administrator & Broker Support

Kim has over 2 decades of experience in administration with the last 15 years spent in administration management and high-level support roles. Many of her roles have included assisting with the HR and finance functions of small to mid-sized businesses and she has broad exposure to various sectors.

She spent 11 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, which included time in financial services and commercial real estate and she has extensive experience managing a team of administrative staff including mentoring and training.

Kim returned to Perth in 2009 and spent some time in the mining sector before joining KBI. She brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to KBI with a focus on managing all aspects of administration and day-to-day corporate operations.
